The LPD AAUW Local Scholarship Foundation is a project of the Livermore-Pleasanton-Dublin Branch of the American Association of University Women. The Foundation awards scholarships to qualified applicants each year who will be either 3rd or 4th year college students during the upcoming academic year. 2023 College Scholarship Winners:

Sangavi Suresh Kumar is from Dublin and will be attending UCLA, majoring in Psychology.

She retains a high GPA while giving back to the students at Las Positas by tutoring and helping with a Free Food Program at Las Positas.

 

Juliana Santiago is from Livermore and will attend UC Berkley, majoring in Media Studies. Juiliana eventually wants to attend Law School and work in Public Policy to improve economic and social outcomes for marginalized communities.

She retains a high GPA while tutoring and working as an Assistant for the City of Livermore posting events amongst other endeavors.  Learn more about Juliana here.

Alejandra V. Quezada Sermeno is from Livermore and is attending the University of San Francisco in Sacramento, majoring in Nursing.  She obtains a high GPA while participating in a variety of volunteering activities. She works with veterans and tutors students in English as well as being involved in other volunteer efforts such as participating in food banks.  Learn more about Alejandra here.
